Services Dr. Bonilla Offers
Microtia Treatment
Microtia is a congenital ear deformity in which the ear doesn't fully develop during pregnancy. For this procedure, Dr. Bonilla crafts the ear from the child's natural cartilage to treat microtia.
Atresia Treatment
Atresia is the absence of an ear canal that commonly accompanies microtia. For this procedure, Dr. Bonilla can place bone-anchored hearing aids and surgically open the ear canal to treat hearing loss.
Before and After Transformations
Many of his microtia patients in San Antonio, TX, also have surgery on their ear canal to correct healing.
Community Service Is Important to Dr. Bonilla
Dr. Bonilla is passionate about educating the public about microtia, ear deformities, and other medical problems. He regularly speaks at medical conferences and has even inspired some of his San Antonio patients to volunteer to speak about their experiences. Dramatic confidence and self-esteem changes can accompany the ear reconstruction a child with microtia receives.
